Long trip

Image

- This trip gives you some extra time to get to know what it's like to drive your own dog team, and time to enjoy the wonderful Norwegian winter landscape

Our long trip lasts for about 1,5 hours. We’ll do a round trip of about 18 kilometres with a very short stop half way to change drivers.

This trip gives you more time to familiarize yourself with driving your own dog team, and take in the beauty of the Norwegian winter landscape. We’ll go a bit further into the wilderness, which gives you a strong sense of being in untouched nature.

Everyone over the age of 12 will have the opportunity to steer the sled themselves.

All adults will be placed two and two per sled, where one controls the sled and the other rides as a passenger. Halfway through the trip we stop so that there is an opportunity to change who steers the sled.

This trip is not recommended for children under the age of 12. As it runs continuously for 1,5 hours, we often experience that smaller children become tired, impatient and cold. If you want to bring children on a dog sledding adventure, we recommend that you rather choose our short trip. If you still choose to bring children on this trip, they will be placed as passengers in the sled of a guide, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

This trip is available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 10:00 and 13:00.

Attendance at the kennel is 15 minutes before the trip starts. Important information and a short introduction to dog sledding will then be given. Everyone who is going on the trip must attend the introduction and it is therefore important that you show up at the correct time. The introduction will start exactly at the specified time.

Total duration, including preparations and socializing after the trip, is approx. 2 hours. This may vary somewhat depending on weather and conditions.
